Muscle and Joint Pain

Muscle and joint pain can be caused by a variety of conditions either singularly or in combination. Some of the conditions are mild and will clear up on their own. In other instances, the pain is so great that medical attention will be required.


The causes for muscle and joint pain vary widely and range from an infection to side effects from certain medications.

Here are some of the more known causes:

  • Arthritis
  • Infections
  • Injury or trauma to the body
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Gout
  • Lupus
  • Medication – A side effect to certain medications


The symptoms for muscle and joint pain, regardless of the root cause are the same. The symptoms are a dull to sharp ache pain, stiffness, swelling and tenderness.
